Finding yellowhammer in full song is really not easy as we thought. Therefore every succesful recordist in Britain has our deep respect. But it makes recording even more interesting!
Most of the birds around sing in XlB dialect. This was a bit disappointing:-)
In Little Norlington and to the East from it, strange things may be happening. I managed to capture only one full song of the bird sitting on the wire in the middle of the village, before it noticed me and kept silent. Was it strange influence of the surrounding buildings or did the bird really sing two B syllables (Bh and Bl) at once? Anyway, it is possible, that somewhere in this area, there could be hidden the missing B dialects.
